Established in 2024 in the heart of Delhi, Utthan is a human rights welfare NGO dedicated to advocating for equality, justice, and dignity for all individuals. We work tirelessly to address issues such as access to education, healthcare, and basic human rights, fostering an inclusive society where no one is left behind.
Our mission is to empower individuals and communities by providing resources, creating opportunities, and driving impactful initiatives that create long-lasting change. With compassion and dedication at our core, Utthan continues to be a beacon of hope for many.
At Utthan, we envision a world where every individual is treated with respect and dignity, free from discrimination and inequality. Our goal is to bridge the gap between privilege and marginalization by addressing the root causes of social and economic disparities.
We believe in creating sustainable solutions by fostering collaboration between individuals, communities, and stakeholders. By providing access to education, healthcare, and vocational training, we aim to empower communities to stand on their own feet and thrive in an equitable society.
Our long-term vision is to cultivate a society where human rights are not just ideals but are a reality for everyone, and where every voice is heard, respected, and valued.
Utthan was founded in New Delhi with the mission to address the pressing issues of human rights, social justice, and equality. It was born out of a vision to uplift marginalized communities and create opportunities for those in need.
Our first major initiative focused on providing access to education for children in remote villages. The campaign brought together hundreds of volunteers and donors, resulting in the establishment of our first education center.
By 2010, Utthan received national recognition for its work in human rights advocacy, social welfare, and empowering marginalized communities. The NGO was invited to several national conferences and forums.
We expanded our reach beyond Delhi, with regional offices opening in several states across India. Our programs on healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment grew significantly during this period.
In 2020, Utthan partnered with several international organizations to address global human rights issues, particularly focusing on refugees, climate change, and gender equality.
Today, Utthan continues to drive social change through its numerous ongoing programs and projects. Our vision to create an inclusive society is alive and well, with millions of lives touched over the years.
